A fantastic school district located in Mason, MI is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals

Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development

Assist in implementing behavioral intervention and support plans

Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering insight into student needs

Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside agencies

Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program

Valid School Social Worker license or approval from the Michigan Department of Education

Full LMSW or LLMSW licensure in Michigan

Previous experience in a school setting or working with children/adolescents preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, behavioral interventions, and IEP processes
